Backdoorwine is a place to list surplus inventory which you do not want to sell through your regular channels. It is a great place to reach discerning buyers motivated by price.

How does it work?

Backdoorwine is an alternative way to reach buyers and securely handle orders online. In our model all orders are securely routed to you for processing and dispatch direct from your cellar door. The process is very simple:

1. We provide you with a password protected login to the site. This enables you to to access orders as they come in and track sales history.
2. You email details of your product to us and we upload them to the site. Product details include product name, description, RRP, sale price, shipping rates, number of cases available, and product images if you have them (images are highly recommended).
3. When orders come in you will receive an email notification. The minimum order is one case. Accepted orders can then be printed from the system or downloaded in bulk to a spreadsheet. You process and dispatch orders from your cellar door in the usual way, and once shipped you update the order status in our system with a single click. It is only at this time that we record the sale as complete and calculate the commission. Your cellar door sales staff will need internet access and an email address.
4. At the end of the month we will invoice you for the cumulative commission on any sales during the month. The commission is a low flat rate payable only after you've made sales.

There are no set up costs or access fees. You only pay a commission on actual sales.
